Jakarta, 26 September 2023 – After its debut at EICMA 2022, followed by the Asia Pacific launch in June 2023, now, PT Piaggio Indonesia officially deploys the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale in Indonesia. At the factory in Mandello del Lario, which continues to be the epicenter of passion for Moto Guzzi, Moto Guzzi take on a brand-new guise thanks to an ambitious project to restructure, expand and develop it over the coming years, for a location open to all, in which the passion for the eagle brand is shared and Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello was born.
One step towards 2121 has already been taken, a step that is more of a bold stride towards the future, through the new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello. A “100” as in the first century, now in the past, a period of passion, skill, innovation, and success, both sporting and commercial, which allowed for the building of some of the world's most beautiful and best-loved motorcycles. “100” as in the second century that has just begun. “100” to indicate, as is Moto Guzzi tradition, the size of the very modern new engine, the basis for a series of new generation motorcycles that will come to light in the coming years.
Starting from a blank page and with real freedom of imagination, Moto Guzzi has come up with a bike that is very modern in its style and content, both innovative and unmistakable. It combines those traditional Moto Guzzi values of sport and travel in one single vehicle, Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello. This new bike opens a new chapter, in every respect, interpreting the sport-touring world in an innovative way and with fresh vision. It has compact dimensions and dynamic sports riding typical of the best roadsters, combined with the comfort and protection of a touring bike, thanks to the technology and aerodynamic solutions it adopts. It is also the first Moto Guzzi to début the new engine known as “compact block”, the technical characteristics of which are modern and sophisticated.
A robust yet lightweight engine to obtain an agile, sporty chassis; powerful, with a bold character and rich in torque, it is designed to equip a series of models and be able to flank Moto Guzzi through the next decades of its life, in accordance with the increasingly strict anti-pollution regulations; in line with the needs of contemporary riders who seek excitement with every twist of the throttle but who are increasingly aware of fuel consumption and maintenance costs. This is why technicians opted for a brand-new design, which does not share even one component with previous engines built in Mandello.

In fact, the spread-winged eagle, the unmistakable emblem of Moto Guzzi since it was established in 1921, was chosen after the shared military bond of founders: Carlo Guzzi and Giorgio Parodi in the Air Service of the Royal Navy during World Wars I and to honor pilot Giovanni Ravelli that was unfortunately killed in an accident in 1919, after the trio decided to go into motorcycle manufacturing once the conflict ended. Thus, history was created when Carlo Guzzi and Giorgio Parodi paved way into making numerous milestones in the automotive industry with Moto Guzzi, as a tribute to their fallen comrade and friend Giovanni Ravelli.
The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandelo Aviazione Navale is then produced in a limited-edition of 1913 numbered motorcycles, a tribute to the year in which the aviation arm of the Italian Navy was formed. The graphics are a faithful reproduction of those of the aircraft, with the insignia on both sides of the cowl, together with the typical “jet intake” stripes. The livery is enhanced by a low-visibility tricolor rosette on the sides of the fuel tank, the emblem of the Italian Naval Aviation, and the logo of the Boarded Aircraft Unit.

Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale is the first two-wheeler in the world that applies adaptive aerodynamics technology. Therefore, the position of the deflectors at the sides of the 17L fuel tank can be adjusted automatically according to the speed and riding modes. Adaptive aerodynamics consists of a six-axis inertial platform and cornering ABS, ensuring a safe and stable ride. Furthermore, Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale also supports four riding modes adjustable according to the environment and climate: Tour, Rain, Road, and Sport. These four modes automatically adjust engine mapping, traction control, to deflector opening for a more optimal riding experience.
Tour mode is programmed to make the two-wheeler more optimal in reaching further distance; Rain mode ensures a safe ride amidst road surfaces with poor; Road mode for a more comfortable road-riding experience designed for urban use, while Sport mode aims to ensure the best sports-riding experience in various road conditions in Indonesia.
These four riding modes on Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello are also supported by the Kayaba suspension technology. For a more comfortable riding experience, Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale is already completed with heated hand grip, adjustable to three temperature levels. The handlebar of this also acts as a temperature controller for rider seats to bring warmth during riding in wet and chilly weather.

With its lightweight and compact characteristics, Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale produces 115HP maximum power and 105 Nm maximum torque with around 4.7 litre of fuel consumption per 100 km, ensuring an optimal engine performance yet with minimum fuel consumption. Moreover, Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale also shows low inertia and a smooth gear shift thanks to the six-speed gearbox and a quick shift available as accessories.
The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello uses chassis architecture for the best riding experience. A 1,475 mm wheelbase and a 24.7° headstock angle supported by aluminum handlebar ensure the firmness of the two-wheeler when maneuvering around challenging road conditions. Besides the comfortable 815 mm saddle, the passenger comfort seat is also equipped with a case fastening system, enabling the two-wheeler to carry more load while maintaining its aesthetics.
Additionally, all riding experience and riding data collection can easily be understood, thanks to the 5” TFT Color instrumentation. Piaggio also introduces the interactive screen on this Moto Guzzi variant so that the riders may access the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) which aims to minimize tyre problems during ride and promote a safer riding experience.
